Congrats to u!! I have high respect for people who choose to change their lives for themselves! And doing it on your own and not feeling like u need to go on national tv to do it is awesome. And u r righ it is very difficult to find a system that works for each individual. I am still working on finding it. Being a single mom of 3 boys doesnt leave much time for looking!!! so best of luck to u and YES I have issues with the local 'biggest loser'. Too bad she couldnt lose more than just wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, My first weigh in was this past monday...at 5'7" I weighed in at 295 lbs. HOLY CRAP!!! I decided to go with the Flex plan, and I did well until today. Stress is a killer, and donuts are my weakness:( I'll make it through, I'm sure. I hate this starving feeling.

So, my daughter wanted to go to McDonalds last night...I was so good, I had a salad with the vinigrette dressing. OK, so a had a few of her fries...but atleast it wasn't what I used to eat. I took home a menu and just for fun I looked up some of the foods on the slide chart I was given. The Double Quarter was like 18 points! Don't get me started on the medium fries. I also saw that the Deluxe Breakfast...over 1000 calories!!!!

My next weigh in is Monday...hope I lost something!

Awesome! Glad I don't have to do this alone! Keeping on track is so hard, especially when people are eating all the things you wish you could be eating in front of you.

We can do it!!

I do weigh in tonight...wish me luck!!!! :o)

My workplace sponsers 10 week programs from Weight Watchers. They come in on Mondays during lunch, do a weigh in, and then motivate.

It's kinda kewl that work pay $30 toward the 10 week program and lets us pay the other $100 over a 10 week period with payroll deduction.

After hearing all the great comments after the first session, I have decided to join the second session, which starts monday!

I am horribly overweight (130lbs over)...have been all my life. Work gives a lot of support for those who want it. They even have worked out Corporate rate with a gym down the road ($25 per month with another $10 reimbursement every month, plus another $50 a year if you are a preferred care member).

It's hard to eat right and have time to exercise when you have a 4 year old and a severely overweight hubby who is not very supportive. I also have PCOS, which makes it difficult to lose weight as well.

I had lost over 50lbs before my girl was born...damn the FDA for banning Ephedra!

Well...I will post during the weeks to come to see how things go.

Hey there,
I joined WW about a year ago and lost 30 pounds. Feeling confident enough, I stopped going to meetings and thought "I could do it myself"...10 lbs slowly came back on so I rejoined last week for fear I would gain it all back and I'm already 7 lbs down. I'm real excited about being back on track but you're right, there definately come times when it's nice to have someone on the WW wagon to share ideas with! Keep up the good work! Sounds like you've had a great start! :)

I am so glad someone else is telling me how much they lost in one month. Twelve pounds is pretty awesome Amanda, and I would do it in a second...or so I thought.

I'm one of those girls that is so up and down...I'm so bad, I'll get to a certain weight and be so happy I go out and celebrate by drinking and eating. It's like I suddenly think I am immune to gaining weight again...and then before you know it the scales start to tip...lol.

I am however, one of those girls all my friends look at and say, "Ashleigh shut up..." But they don't understand, they don't see what I see, or am not seeing, but is forever burned into my mind this negative image of how I look.

So a friend photo-copied all her sister-inlaw's stuff she had on weight watchers and gave it to me. I was going on about how I could so do the point system...and then I had all this info in front of me.

I could really go on forever about this, but I think I lasted maybe two days counting those damn points, and one day I had breakfast and that brought me to eight points which is not good on a 20 point system day.

I have a photo shoot in a month and therefore I am going on a yogourt and cottage cheese diet with lots of, or as much as possible amounts of exercise. But what am I going to do after? NO idea...

The horrible, and disgusting ways we treat ourselves...
