I have a problem. Every time I set out to get something, I ALWAYS forget the one thing I went out to get. This normally happens every time I make a trip to Wegmans.

Like today for example. I have to go to Wegmans today, and the 2 main things I need besides fruits and veggies are soap for the kitchen and soap for the bathroom. Now when I  go, I will probably get 5 things I didn’t even plan on getting, then on the drive home will remember that I forgot to get soap for the kitchen and bathroom.

I know people are forgetful and this happens a lot. But this happens EVERY time I go somewhere to get something specific. What’s wrong with me? Brody thinks it’s hilarious…I think it’s irritating.

Writing a list does help…as long as I remember to put the thing I need on the list. I have my ‘CATegorized’ shopping lists with the picture of the cat on it hanging on my fridge that my mom gave me. But filling those out and taking them to the store gives me the urge to put on polyester pants, orthopedic shoes, and pay with a check.

Watch out for my hands tomorrow…I plan on forgetting soap today.

Update!: I went to Wegmans as I had planned and honest to God bought fruits and veggies, some unplanned low carb wraps and bread, got into the checkout line and unloaded my stuff, and realized I forgot the damn soap!!!! I thought to myself “WTF!? You wrote a blog about this today!!!” I still forgot. I stopped at another Wegmans on my way home just to get the soap. Grocery stores apparently give me senior moments.
