Crunch Time
Ok, so maybe it’s not really crunch time yet…but it’s time to kick some ass! I need to lose some weight to get into my wedding dress. The wedding is in September ‘09, but I have to get the dress in like February or March. At least that’s what I’m told. So it’s time to get on that dieting bandwagon.
I’ve been on Weight Watchers for a while with some success on the flex plan, but just over the past weekend and kicked it up a notch to the core plan. And let me tell you, it’s really healthy, but a lot harder! And to add to the health boost, I’m trying my best not to go out drinking on the weekends. This will suck, but hopefully when I get in that wedding dress it will make it worth it.
For inspiration I cut out pictures of brides and put them on my fridge. So if there is ANY temptation, I take one look at these skinny bitches and grab a carrot.

Wedding dieting is normal, right? When you’re married is when you can gain it all back ![]()

You can do it, you will be a lot happier with yourself for it.

Amanda,
I feel your pain girlfriend! I am getting married Oct. ‘09 so I have right around the same time frame as you. I’ve been engaged since March and I kept telling myself that I was going to get in shape early on so alls I would have to do is maintain… we here we are over 4mos later and I’ve gained 5lbs from all the stress of trying to keep both families happy with the wedding plans. I’m not looking to drop crazy weight, just a good 10lbs and really tone up but doing that the healthy way takes time! Hang in there and good-luck!

My new wife (longtime g/f of 7 years) did the weight watchers thing 8 months prior to the wedding and she lost over 35 pounds. I don’t think she’s ever looked this good and I think that you could easily make your goal too! The only thing about the program is that you have to keep an eye on the activity points and eat enough to compliment them or you’ll stay at the same weight. Best of luck to you!!!
