Drives Me Crazy!
Monday, July 28th, 2008I don’t know why this drives me crazy, it really shouldn’t. But when people take the longest time carefully writing their
name, dotting every I, crossing every T on the credit card machines at Wegmans (or wherever else has them). I know it only takes maybe another 30 seconds out of my day…but hurry the hell up! It’s like writing a check, who does that anymore if you’re not 80?
I guess it just shows how fast paced our world is now and how we need immediate gratification. And I’m a victim. I see the people in front of me bend over and sign their name and I want to smack the fake pen out of their hands. You can draw a line on that thing and you get the same result. That’s what I do…draw a line, and then it says signature accepted. The end! It doesn’t matter, so why take the time to make sure it’s perfect? And I swear I always get behind the women that practically sign their name with calligraphy. It’s Wegmans, not a wedding invitation.
This still isn’t bad as a check. But it’s getting there.
